Christy has over 20 yrs of experience within the fitness industry. Her love for fitness began in high school when she used her allowance money to pay for a subscription to Health magazine. Fast forward to her 20s, Christy spent several years working at corporate fitness sites like Google, Yahoo!, and Cisco Systems. From there, Christy continued her career as a personal trainer, fitness, yoga, and Pilates instructor. After her first child, she started her own business in 2007, Pi-Yo Play, (Christy Li Wellness) which she still maintains today. In the early years of her business, Christy created and taught Mommy & Baby PiYoPlay® classes, a beautiful blend of Pilates, yoga, singing, and playing with baby. This unique class is a registered trademark and was also taught to certify other instructors.
From 2010 to the present, Christy helps women in their 30s through 50s reach their wellness goals. She advocates for them to increase their self care in an empowering way. She believes her clients are the experts of their own lives, and she can best serve them through support, motivation, education, and fostering accountability. Christy is a lifelong learner, holding a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, a Masters in Fitness Management, a 200 hr Pilates Mat certification, a 500 hr Yoga Alliance certification, an ACE Personal Trainer certification since 1999, a Functional Medicine Wellness Coach certification, along with several other fitness trainings and certifications. Combining Christy's education, years of experience, and her various certifications, she can provide her clients with a more comprehensive approach to reaching their wellness goals. Her services range from instructing yoga, aerial yoga, Pilates, and strength classes to Personal Training, Functional Medicine Wellness Coaching and mini courses offerings.
